Standing Committees
DCIIA’s committees bring members together around shared interests to foster discussion and collaboration and produce thought leadership including webinars, short papers, and events. All members and plan sponsors are invited to join and participate in our committees.
Editorial & Communications Advisory Group
Offers guidance on DCIIA’s thought leadership initiatives, such as events, white papers, and other content, and includes communications professionals and subject matter experts from member organizations.
Investment Policy & Design Committee / ESG Working Group
This committee group advances best practices in DC investment design by promoting practical education, and materials that help plan sponsors and policymakers make informed decisions. It develops “how‑to” resources and highlights the value of institutional investment approaches.
Global Committee
Supports development of multi‑national and non‑U.S. defined contribution plans by analyzing global plan design, monitoring legislative and market developments, and identifying best practices. It promotes cross‑border efficiencies and creates practical resources.
Plan Design & Administration Committee
Provides a forum for sharing best practices in plan design and administration, including the use of institutional investment approaches. It encourages strong operational practices, delivers education tailored to multiple audiences, and serves as an operational and technical resource for projects led by other DCIIA committees.
Public Policy Committee
Provides a forum for educating the defined contribution community on policy issues, fostering dialogue between policymakers and industry stakeholders, and advocating for sound, mission‑aligned solutions. Participates in the Public Policy Forum Steering Committee and serves as a resource for education and best practices across public policy issues.
Regional Ambassadors
The DCIIA Ambassador Program advances the association’s mission by bringing together engaged retirement professionals in their local communities to help improve retirement outcomes. Ambassadors expand member involvement by hosting events each year that create an approachable environment for prospects, strengthen networking, and offer a balanced mix of social and content‑driven programming.
Retirement Income Committee
Advances education and fiduciary best practices for institutional retirement income solutions, shaping industry dialogue around participant outcomes. Serves as an educational resource and helps plan sponsors evaluate and manage income solutions.
Workplace Excellence Committee
Explores ways that DCIIA can increase awareness and visibility of workplace excellence initiatives. Celebrating Leaders and Rising Stars in the annual Workplace Excellence Awards.
