Krista D'Alessandro

Krista D'Alessandro is a policy and research professional specializing in retirement systems, long-term savings, and financial security. She brings experience spanning both the U.K. and U.S. retirement and public policy sectors, with expertise in policy development, stakeholder engagement, legislative advocacy, and strategic research.
Prior to joining DCIIA, Krista worked in London as Policy Lead at Pensions UK, where she led initiatives related to defined contribution and defined benefit pensions, retirement adequacy, pension quality standards, and emerging topics including the integration of artificial intelligence within financial services.
Earlier in her career, Krista focused on federal affordable housing and community development policy in Washington, D.C., including advocacy and coalition-building efforts at Enterprise Community Partners and the National Housing Trust.
Krista earned her Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College. She is committed to advancing policies and research that expand access to financial security for all.
