James Watt is Professor Emeritus of Communication Science at the University of Connecticut and a research consultant to financial services, high technology, and nonprofit organizations. He is the author of two books, Research Methods for Communication Science and Dynamic Patterns in Communication Processes, and over 50 peer-reviewed and invited articles, book chapters, and published conference proceedings. He holds a U.S. patent for a Web-based collaborative work system. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Department of Education and private foundations and corporations. His current research centers on statistical modelling and simulation of individual and group choice behaviors.
