The DCIIA Governance, Benchmarking and Communication (GBC) Committee provides a forum to encourage and promote research, dialogue, education, thought leadership and best practices related to retirement plan governance, benchmarking and communication concerns. The Committee was established in accordance with DCIIA’s founding charter and core beliefs. It brings together a diverse group of industry professionals, including: investment managers, insurance companies, consultants, record keeping and trust companies, plan sponsors, law firms, academia and others focused on improving outcomes for American workers by advocating the application of sound policies and solutions.
Mission
The DCIIA GBC Committee’s mission is to:
- Frame the industry and public dialogue in terms of improving retirement outcomes for participants
- Encourage industry communication and disclosure standards for supporting the PPA and institutional investing approaches that will improve outcomes for participants
- Engage in research activities that will foster awareness and understanding of plan options, benchmarking methods and regulatory requirements and communication best practices
- Establish partnerships with other organizations and retirement professionals who share our core beliefs and goals to improve communication, transparency, plan design
- Become a resource for communication and education of the full range of plan design and investment options, tailored to the needs of multiple audiences: plan sponsor, participant, consultant, regulator
