DCIIA...About Us

The Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association is dedicated to enhancing the retirement security of American workers.

The Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association is a group of leading industry professionals advocating for policies and practices that can improve investment outcomes for the millions of Americans that depend on defined contribution plans to fund their retirement. The organization's primary focus is to increase adoption among defined contribution plans of a full institutional investment toolkit and risk management capability. Additionally, the DCIIA provides an independent forum for thought leadership on plan design by conducting research, hosting events and publishing papers that focus on improving defined contribution plan design. The group also encourages improving fiduciary practices and tools to support institutional defined contribution plan design, and educates legislators and regulators on how to advance approaches to retirement security.

Our Approach

The DCIIA fosters a dialogue among the leaders of the defined contribution community who are passionate about improving defined contribution plan design. Members include investment managers, consultants, record keepers, insurance companies, plan sponsors and others committed to the best interests of plan participants.
